Electrical Safety

Farm Safely With Electricity

One of our most popular items, this 8-page, two-color brochure identifies the most common hazards associated with overhead power lines. Use this brochure to explain the basics of electrical safety including current flow, hazardous situations, and safe work habits needed to prevent electrical accidents. Major hazards such as harvesting equipment, grain augers, hay stackers, irrigation equipment, and farm vehicles are covered in this easy-to-read booklet. Non-farm hazards such as tree trimming and rooftop antennas are also mentioned. Descriptive illustrations and a series of checklists help clarify this important message to both youth and adult audiences.

Care Covers

Add safety and energy efficiency to any electrical outlet in one simple step. Care Covers are designed as replacement covers for electrical outlets. Unique spring-loaded slides cover the receptacle holes when not in use, to keep little fingers and foreign objects out. To plug in an appliance, simply move one of the slides over to expose the outlet. The slide automatically snaps back in place when you remove the plug. The spring-loaded slides also reduce air leakage through receptacle holes, while an attached foam gasket forms a tight seal around the edges of the outlet. Use the Care Cover for:

    • Energy Audit programs
    • Annual meeting giveaways
    • Handouts at youth camps
    • Preschool safety and energy audit assistance
    • School youth projects
    • Safety promotion handouts

Electrical Safety Stickers (adhesive-backed decals)

The eye-catching image on this adhesive-backed sticker delivers a clear message about power line safety. It’s a message that youth or adults audiences will apply to other types of tall equipment. This two-color sticker not only provides a unique handout at safety presentations or consumer events, but can be used with youth groups to sponsor a safety program.

The use of images, rather than words, does a better job of conveying the safety message. When placed in a prominent location, this decal provides a constant safety reminder, that will be seen multiple times.

The sticker measures 3” by 5”. It is made of high-grade vinyl
